Aplle Ipad New Generation: iPad 2 Upgrade or iPad 3?

According to sources from the upstream supply chain of Apple, the new generation of the Apple iPad will into mass production soon with the launch scheduled for March 2012. However, internal sources reveal that Apple does not see new products of iPad as  iPad 3, but an iPad 2 upgrade. Seems that  iPad 3 will not launching until the earliest of third quarter 2012.

iPad 2 upgrade  is thinner than the old one and offers battery life is more longer than before. Because the Lunar New Year in China, officials in January, Apple has decided to start small-volume shipments in the fourth quarter of 2011, the sources quoted.

Related to above issues, the retailers of Apple product also pointed out that iPad 2 is remains the most popular tablet PC product in the IT market today, and Apple does not need to take steps to launch a new model into the market.

Seems that better to waiting the Apple iPad new generation as Apple not yet release final confirmation regarding new tablet in 2012. Furthermore, iPad 2 Upgrade or iPad 3 is about marketing strategy, so lets wait what Apple will do.  

Battery Life Problem In iPhone 4S Will Fix

Apple has finally confirmed that battery problem in iPhone 4S because of the bugs in the new iOS 5 software. The bugs are causing the batteries to drain and a new software update will fix this battery life problem.

"A small number of customers have reported lower than expected battery life on iOS 5 devices, " said Apple spokeswoman, Natalie Harrison as quoted by Business Week, Thursday (11/03/2011). "We have found a few bugs that are affecting battery life and we will release a software update to address those in a few weeks" she added. However, Harrison declined to comment further about what might be causing the problem.

Related to the officially statement  from Apple, the good news is that the problem appears to be due to a bug in the iOS 5 software that the phones use - rather than a problem with the battery itself.  But the bad news is that the problem will take a few weeks to fix.

Nokia Lumia 800 Available On Mid of November

The first Windows Phone Mango from Nokia, Nokia Lumia 800 will enter to the world competition smartphone market. Mainstay of the Nokia smartphones future is expected to be sold and available on November 16, 2011.

Lumia 800 looks brilliant, with a more sleek design and attractive. In general, this phone does look similar with Nokia N9.

This Newer Nokia smartphone will use a 3.7-inch touch screen with higher resolution than previous Nokia Symbian handsets, making it suitable for web browsing or watching movies. The big change from Nokia Lumia 800 is the Windows Phone Mango that long-awaited presence for a few months ago. It seems that Nokia will start selling Lumia 800 on 16 November as quoted by Channel 5, Tuesday (01/11/2011).

Vendor from Finland has made some ads on TV during the weekend, detailing the launch date, with network providers and retailers such as Carphone Warehouse and phones4U, which has been offering pre-orders for Nokia handsets Lumia 800.

Motorola, the vendors from the United States launched new gadget namely Motorola ET1. Motorola ET1 is the enterprise tablet which designed for various industries.

ET1 is equipped with features such as optional barcode scanners, magnetic card stripe readers, hot-swappable battery packs, software systems are secure and the security of multi-slot charging. It is also bluetooth enabled for other functions such as mobile-payment readers and mobile printers.

The tablet itself is a 1 Ghz dual-core tablet with an 8MP camera and a front camera. It could operate with both Windows and Android OS making this as flexible as possible with other corporate entities who uses Windows enterprise for their server and POS needs.

Motorola didn't say the price, which will surely vary depending on the options a business chooses. But given that the ET1 is targeted toward businesses, one would hope there is a bulk rate.
